GOD'S PLAN

KNOW GOD

God loves you and wants a relationship with you.  He has a great plan for your life and wants to work to bring it to pass. 

THE STORY

    God Has A Plan

  God created a wonderful plan for every man's life. It is a plan for nothing but good and greatness in your life.  He had all of the answers for how to make that plan work and come to pass. In His wisdom he foresaw all the possible things that could mess up that plan in your life and made a way of escape, healing, and restoration.  He made a way that no matter what bad things would come into your life, everything would always work together for your good because of His plan.
 

   Man Messed the Plan Up
 Man did the one thing that would mess up the plan.  In the beginning of time, in the Garden of Eden, God had given him everything he needed to make the plan work and told him there was only one thing he shouldn't do, it would mess up the plan.  Man did it, disobeyed God and messed up the wonderful plan. This is Sin, to disobey God, to know the right thing to do and not to do it. Sin interrupted the plan God had for you and I. Man could have obeyed God and resisted satan, but he didn't. Man has a nature now that bends him toward doing wrong and disobeying God.  Because he doesn't  have a real relationship with God, he doesn't really know God, God's plan for him, or what he needs to do for that plan to work.  He lives his life trying to do things and fix things on his own.  He lives in the  messed up  plan, trying to make the best of things without really knowing what life is all about.  Man's sin messed up the plan, but did not stop the plan.  God still wants His plan to come to pass in man's life, but first He has to get the sin out of the way and restore His relationship with man.

   Satan took Advantage of It

  God has mercy and grace for us because he knows that man disobeyed only because he was deceived by satan. Satan used temptation to lead man into doing the thing that would mess up God's plan and separate man from God.  Then, satan takes advantage of our separation from God and brings all kinds of evil, torment, hurt, and problems into our life. God knows that man still doesn't understand His plan and keeps making choices that affect that plan.  Like Jesus said on the cross, "Father, forgive them, they don't understand what their doing."  This is grace.  This is mercy.  God keeps trying to get into our lives to bring His plan to pass, but satan keeps in man's way working to destroy man and the plan.

   Jesus Fixed It

  Jesus' whole life on the earth was part of God's plan to fix the problem, get sin out of the way, restore our relationship with God, and bring back the plan of God into our lives. Jesus gave His whole life so that we could have the great, abundant, and eternal life God planned for us.  Jesus paid the price for our sin to be forgiven and He destroyed the power of satan from working in our lives. Jesus showed us the way to live so that God's plan could wok in our life.  We use His life and teachings as our guide for living.

   The Holy Spirit is Restoring It

  Jesus in working in our lives through the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit gives us the power and ability to know when satan is trying to tempt us, when we are about to mess God's plan up, and what God wants from our life.  The Holy Spirit gives us the power we need to serve God and to resist satan and his temptations.
